An Overview of QQ Online

For years, poker was exclusively found in the back rooms of smoky clubs or casinos, but that all changed in the early 2000s when the internet and a Tennessee accountant pushed poker to primetime. Prior to the year 2000, the majority of internet poker was played in chat rooms and was, obviously, purely recreational. That changed when technology evolved and secure online poker sites were established that could safely keep players’ money while allowing them to wager against other players.

People began to take online poker sites more seriously in 2003, when an amateur poker player named Chris Moneymaker won a $40 online tournament and qualified for the World Series of Poker Main Event. Moneymaker ended up winning the tournament for $2.5 million, and he single-handedly changed the game.

It didn’t take long for poker to be shown on ESPN, and hundreds of thousands of gamers raced to play online poker.

Live Poker vs. Online Poker

The rules of poker are the same whether you’re playing live poker in person or online against other players. However, there are some significant variances.

Online poker is often faster, less risky (you can play for smaller stakes), and more accessible (you can find a game anytime, anywhere you are in the world).

On the down side, you’ll almost always be playing against strangers and won’t be able to see anyone in the eyes. It takes some getting used to, but there are several methods to tell if someone is bluffing.

Also, bringing the game on the internet makes it responsible for the increase of QQ online player worldwide. The online poker revenue shows that it has became an industry of millions to billions in just one decade. Games have seen increased popularity among young youth in India which is why online gambling has experienced a significant rise which results in market growth of the gaming industry.
